Meie tehtud töid saate vaadata siit [KLIKI]Painting a roof starts with cleaning the roof of branches and leaves and of moss that has appeared on it, after which loose and cracked paint is removed with a steel brush and a scraper. This is followed by a careful observation of the roof coating in order to discover rust stains that have appeared or are about to appear. In case of finding any rust stains, we have to decide whether it is necessary to change that part of the roof or if we are able to remove the rust stains with a steel brush. After that, the roof is cleaned with a special substance that contains ammonia. This removes dirt, salts, oils, and grease that have appeared over time. After that, we rinse and dry the roof. The parts of the roof that were cleaned of rust are primed with high-quality metal primer followed by repainting the roof two times. When repainting an old roof, you have to find out what kind of paint was used before.
Zinc is a widespread material used for tin roofs and it needs painting for two reasons. Firstly, the thin zinc layer needs protection; otherwise, it starts to corrode by environmental impacts surrounding us (exhaust fumes, salts, precipitation). Secondly, a painted roof looks aesthetically nicer than an unpainted one. Zinc surface has particular characteristics and that is why all paints do not work. It needs certain, specially selected products. It is advisable to repaint your new zinc roof a year after mounting. A good final result is ensured by correct priming of the substratum, good tools, high-quality products that fit the surface, and correct painting.
